Amanda Kemp

Amanda has been playing the guitar for 37 years and ukulele for 23 years and has performed in various bands in Kapiti for 30 years, including being one of the original members of the Paraparaumu College Road Show. She was a member of the popular Kooky-Ukes band, who performed regularly on the Kapiti Coast and loves filing in when FIGJAM need her.

Amanda has also picked up a passion for the bass guitar.

She has studied music performance, which consisted of music composition, theory, vocals and stage performances.

Amanda takes great pleasure in teaching students at the KMC and in particular performing at our superb end-of-year concert where the years’ work comes alive with all the different instruments on offer at KMC.

She has been a member of the KMC Board of Trustees since 2016. Her role on the board the Secretary. She also manages the instrument hire and took over the Management role mid 2021.
