Some instruments require greater physical capabilities than others to ensure the student is does not get discouraged at the difficulty of the lessons. The Centre has developed the following guidelines.

| Ages 7+ | Recorder, Violin, Ukulele, Cello, Percussion |
| Ages 8+ | Recorder, Violin, Ukulele, Cello, Percussion, Theory, Keyboard, Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Saxophone, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Drums*, Glee Club and Ensemble *Drum students require previous percussion experience |
