The cello is a rewarding instrument to learn. Children and adults alike are attracted to its warm, rich tone. A level of commitment is required to master the difficult technical aspects of the instrument, but it can be enjoyed at all levels.

Beginner Classes
The beginner cello class is based on Essential Elements 2000 for Strings, Cello Book 1. This user-friendly and easy to follow book comes with a well-produced cd, meaning that children can progress at home.

- A clear file
- recommended, a tuning machine
Level A
After year one, the Suzuki Books are used. The aim is to make good progress with pieces, alongside the technical aspects of cello playing. A clearfile is also required, and it can be a good idea to purchase a tuning machine so parents can tune the cello at home.
